A work stoppage of 8 to 20 days is prescribed after thyroid surgery. Its duration depends on the type of surgery performed, the general state of health and also the type of work. It will be adapted according to the progress and in case of complications.
In the majority of cases, recovery is possible after 10 days of stopping. Your attending physician quickly receives the report of your operation with a letter so that he can take over in consultation with your surgeon.
